It's Harvest Time!

Last year, I was invited to Kenya, Africa, to speak at a Pastor's Conference where there were Bishops, Apostles, Elders, Pastors, Teachers, Evangelists, and Prophets. In other words, it was a Leader's Conference. The theme for this Conference was about it being harvest time.

It was no coincidence that one of my messages was "It's Harvest Time". I spoke on the challenges of life using Job as an example of how we are tested and how God is the Teacher. Do you remember when your teacher gave a test, no one was allowed to talk? Not even the teacher talked during the test. Job was tested in every part of his life. He endured one testing after another. Before he could get past one test, something else was in the works. Satan was giving him his best shot.

God called Job “the most righteous man in the land”; there was no sin in his life. Job's friends were convinced that he endured hardship because he was living a sinful life. They did their best to pry a confession out of him, but he held on to his integrity. Job's wife, his rib, bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh, knew that Job was a good man and how he loved the Lord. She became angry with God and wanted Job to fight God in the flesh. She asked Job to curse God and die. Job's response to this proved that he was everything God said about him. He was one that could be trusted. Job 13.15 says, "...though He slay me, yet will I trust Him." Job later stated that God knew the ways that he would take and that not only would he overcome, but that when he did, he would “come forth as gold.” In the end, God made Job's latter days far better than his beginning. Job had it pretty good before God allowed the testing, but because he stood with integrity, God repaid him with more than he could have ever imagined.

That's a word for you, too! It's harvest time in your life, but you can't see it because all hell may be coming your way. Or, there may be restlessness inside of you...something is happening that you can't seem to put a finger on; it's called "transition". God is about to do something new in your life, and like Job, though you can not see it and everything that is happening to you says differently, keep the faith! Your best days are ahead of you!

There is a well known Prophet in America, Kim Clement, that often prophesies in song, "I see you in the future and you look much better then you look right now." I want to leave you with those encouraging words. Don't give up, don't look back, and don't even think about throwing in the towel. Find out why you've had to endure all that has come against you. When I started writing this, I actually intended to talk about the harvest of souls that awaits you. Maybe we will discuss that harvest when we talk again. Please consider writing me in the comment section. I would love to hear a line or two of what the Father is speaking to you on this subject. Until next time….

Wow! Evangelist Hasker, last year I went through some of the most overwhelming challenges of my life. I am still standing strong as ever. And I believe that is because through it all, I could still hear God's voice in my heart. I still knew His touch in my life. And most importantly, I could feel His love each day.

There is a harvest of souls that awaits us. When we are going through trials in our life we sometimes may wonder why me? Why not us? What we go through is not really for us anyway. It is to sharpen us and bring more of the excellence of God out of us...however, we still are tried and proved to be a witness to others. To show others who God is and that there is nothing too big or small for God to handle. Sometimes God may be using us to touch those that we least expected. My husband is experience this now. He is in a working environment where he is tried on every side...yet he has God to show people who God is by his actions. He still continues to be consistent in his work and does everything in excellence. He has also been used to defend his faith and the church that we attend. They also had started a bible study at work that had never been done before. Little by little God gives us opportunities to show people who He is and how they too can have a relationship with Jesus. As we are about our Father's business, He in turns reaches His hand out to us and gives us our own person harvests that we have been waiting for.

The book of job is one of my favorite books in the bible. My first lesson in positive thinking was born out of Job 3: 25 “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me”

Job confessed fear. He had a great life, but somewhere deep inside he feared losing everything. It’s been called many different names – impending doom; a self fulfilling prophesy; waiting on the big shoe to fall; too good to be true and lack of faith among other names. Sometimes it is easier to feel entitled to a hard life – a life of hell as you mentioned - as opposed to a life of overflow. But the wonderful thing about faith is our personal ability to envision a life beyond our current circumstances. Young people living in poverty today can dream of a career and a mansion. Adults can claim new businesses and better jobs as they walk by faith to the next level. Only then can we take part in the harvest. We can’t stop sowing seeds when we struggle. Stay positive -a struggle is an opportunity to work on your dreams. You're right (again) it is harvest time!

Stay Blessed,
Patricia

Hasker,
I almost fell out of my chair when I read this. I had just visited my son in jail and told him to remember to have patience. That God would move him when it was time to be moved. To be a man of his word and not even think about the past. To let God lead the path that he was to walk upon and have the patience of JOB. I know that things happen for a purpose and this is affirmation that those words were needed to give my son hope that knowing if he followed the path that God wanted for him, it too would be good! Better than ever before. Then I read this email WOW....God is mighty and I am so glad that he uses you as a vessel to give his Word to those who seek. I wish you great blessings. Let me know how I may be of help to you...

Hasker,
This message was so good. I had visited my son this morning and had spoken of patience and how important it was to let God move him in the way that God wanted him to go. Not look back on the mistakes and dwell on it but that second chances were given but that he had to be wise enough to realize and be still and quiet. over the last few weeks, there have been huge changes that I have seen in my son, revelations and realizations made that he has come to terms with and getting back into the word. I had just spoken to him of this same message and BAM, there you were with it so perfectly positioned to remind me to remind my son. Thank you for being the mighty vessel put in my life today. I wish you great blessings! Sincerely, Lisa Uldrick

Very encouraging words.....and a good message regarding harvest time. The message you ministered on Wednesday night challenged me to pull the arrow back and take aim for the things God has called me to do. This word only intensify the tension on the bow. Thanks!

Pastor Hasker,
What a wonderful word! It is my harvest time! It is also hard for me to see it for all the "hell" breaking loose. Interestingly, I understand the "hell". If I were Satan, I would do anything and everything to keep me from receiving my harvest, too! You see, also, from the story of Job, we see that Satan has access to the blessings that our Father has prepared for us. Obviously, he saw what great things that my Father has in store for me and he has gone into overtime trying to keep me from it. However, that won't work because I will rejoice again and again...even if He slay me, yet will I praise Him! Thank you so much for the timely and ever encouraging words you bring to the body, thank you for that pastoral spirit you offer from your heart, covering us with your love...we need you!

Love Of The Lord,
Brenda

If we all could have the love of God like Job! Hasker, you are right on point with "It's Harvest Time!". "The Lord rejoices in our prosperity" and we have so much harvest to reap if we love and hold steadfast to God's unchanging word. I believe and receive that God has tremendous blessings for his people if we put our full trust in him and not the circumstances that surround us daily. Like Job, I want to be rock solid in the Lord and know that everything that is good and perfect comes from the Lord. Let us all strive to live in the fullness of the Lord and receive the "Harvest" that is awaiting us and not us waiting it.

I pray God's blessings continue to be upon you in the mighty name of Jesus!

Love you!
